Homelessness and the lack of affordable housing are major issues in the metro Denver area. A point-in-time study conducted by the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative in January of this year showed that there are over 12,000 homeless individuals in Metropolitan Denver alone. Familiarity with the housing services in the region will greatly enhance human service workers’ ability to assist clients in finding adequate, affordable lodging. Our panel consists of human service practitioners in the fields of homelessness and subsidized housing. Come join us to learn about the resources that can be utilized in the community to ensure safe and affordable lodging for all.
