The All Families Deserve A Chance Coalition (AFDC) promotes public policy to improve the lives of all Coloradans living in poverty. The Coalition, established in 1991, is a network of direct service providers and policy advocates that educate, strategize, lobby, support and inform all Coalition members on issues impacting low-income families.
In partnership with the Human Services Network, the Coalition offers an opportunity for human service providers to become involved in current policy actions and to learn about laws and policies which affect struggling families.
What the AFDC Cares About: The Cycle of Poverty, which is the intersectionality of issues in housing, health, childcare, and employment that compound the challenges for low income Coloradans.
Current Priorities
The AFDC Coalition is working with the Colorado Children’s Campaign and the Colorado Center on Law and Policy to advance a state legislative proposal to improve the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program. If you are interested in being part of that initiative, download the fact sheet and draft bill HERE to find out more.
