Bereavement - sustaining the loss of someone or something deeply important to us - is a fact of life, and how we grieve those losses matters.

This is an interactive, experiential workshop, where we get to have a conversation about what grief is, explore our own beliefs about it, understand the impact these beliefs can have on others and learn simple effective ways we can support people who are grieving.

Workshop attendees will explore and understand:

  • The scope of grief, including how it effects our lives in many other ways beyond just death/dying.
  • The multitude of ways that grief can affect us including physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
  • What our own beliefs around death and grief look like and how those may impact the ways they care for others. We will experientially begin to investigate our own beliefs and notice how they impact us.
  • Simple approaches and techniques to effectively support people who are grieving.
