Human service workers are often working with populations that are vulnerable or oppressed. They have the ability to directly improve the quality of life for their clients, but in order to do this well and with integrity, they will need to maintain professional boundaries. In social work, these boundaries are the guiding ethical behavior limits that ensure the client-provider relationship remains professional, safe, transparent, and empowering. Human services providers need to be conscious that they hold a position of power and avoid behaviors that reinforce or exploit that power imbalance. Professional boundaries ensure providers can avoid misconduct as well as unhealthy dependence or inappropriate emotional attachment.

I specialize in clinical supervision in the form of training (in-person and online), as well as individual and group sessions. We serve licensed and unlicensed individuals, as well as programs and organizations. I have expertise in many areas, including HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, mental illnesses and much more. I also provide coaching to clients who are motivated to maximize their assets.
